We are shocked and disgusted by an article that appeared this week in the west coast magazine “The Tyee”, authored by Terry Glavin. This article is nothing more than a racist denial of the claims of residential school survivors that children died and were buried in mass graves across Canada.

At a public ceremony and press conference held today outside the colonial “Indian Affairs” building in downtown Vancouver, the Friends and Relatives of the Disappeared (FRD) released a list of twenty eight mass graves across Canada holding the remains of untold numbers of aboriginal children who died in Indian Residential Schools.

VANCOUVER: A comprehensive list of mass graves of children at dozens of former Indian Residential Schools across Canada will be released to the media and the public this Thursday, April 10 at 10:00 am at a special ceremony at the Indian Affairs office at 1138 Melville street in downtown Vancouver.
